I encourage you to walk though the gallery’s upper level to take a look at the space.  You will see that the venue is limited.  Please, do not bother the staff with any questions about our show they don’t have the answers.

Bring 2-3 prints* ready to hang: 9/10/08 Wednesday Meeting. Call Bob if you need extra time.

Initial Selection: Thursday 9/18/08 Firehouse if available (TBA)

Hanging: Monday September 22, 2008

Show Date: September 26 to November 2, 2008

Opening: September 26^th from 5:00 – 8:00.

THEME:

“A Walk Through Appalachia”

You will interpret this theme, as you see it. There is not a lot of need for old barn images or farm scenes or trucks on cinder blocks. Take a look at Cities / places / people in ways that you haven’t before.

This will be the peak tourist season so create work that will sell to our tourist guests.  You do want to sell your work don’t you?

Make extra prints for sales bins.

IMAGES:

Limited to about 40 images, including groupings. Black & White / Color

No size limits, No frame/color limits. No mat/color limits. Well, maybe no black frames this time. Is the right side of your brain starting to tingle?

*Gallery would like images that might be used as a grouping Three 40 X 40 trip tick images won’t work in this small space.  Think in terms of 3 slim line images or a couple 5X7’s and an 8X10. Or, your images may be grouped with other members work.
